Common Brunswick East Callouts
These four cover most of what we see between Moreland Road and Park Street. In each one the bike stays where it is and we come to it.
Lygon Street Trading Hours
Lygon Street's Brunswick East stretch stays busy long after the Carlton end has quietened, and keys go astray between a table, a jacket pocket and the ride home. Leave the bike in its bay and ring us. We take the cutting detail from the lock itself, produce a key beside the bike and code the chip so you ride out rather than wait for a truck.
New Apartment Basements
The Nicholson Street developments have put a lot of bikes underground in shared basements with boom gates and fob readers. Those are straightforward for us provided we can get in. Mention the building, the parking level and whether you can meet us at the entry, and we bring the gear down rather than asking anyone to push a bike up a ramp.
Merri Creek Side Streets
Toward CERES and the creek the streets narrow and the parking is all on the nature strip or tucked beside front fences. Riders coming back from a trail run find a jammed steering lock or a key that has fallen somewhere along the path. We work fine in those spots, close to the kerb and out of the way of passing traffic.
Second Key After a House Move
Brunswick East turns over tenants constantly, and a bike bought secondhand or moved in with one worn key is asking for trouble. Getting a spare cut and coded before anything goes wrong takes a fraction of the effort of a lost key job. We do it in the driveway or at the kerb while you get on with the rest of the day.

How Our Brunswick East Callout Works
Three steps, and the bike never leaves the spot it is in.
1. Call and describe
Call 0410 380 354 and tell us the bike, the problem and where in Brunswick East it is parked. We confirm a price before we travel.
2. We come to Brunswick East
We travel to the bike wherever it sits in Brunswick East — kerbside, car park, laneway or driveway. Nothing needs towing.
3. Ride away
We check ID and proof of ownership, cut or program the key or repair the lock, then test it before we leave.
Basements, Nature Strips and Narrow Grids
Parking in Brunswick East splits three ways: permit kerbs on the residential grid, metered bays on the shopping strips and secure basements under the newer blocks. None of that changes the work itself, since every job is done beside the bike, but it changes how long it takes us to physically reach you. A clear description on the phone is worth more than any address guess.
Give us a number if you have one. Otherwise the nearest corner, the name of the cafe you are standing outside or the block you live in will do. Where a gate, a boom or a lift stands between us and the bike, say so early so access is arranged before we set off. It saves the awkward wait outside a locked entry at the far end.
Permit street kerbs
Most residential jobs happen at the kerb outside the address. We work from the footpath side and keep the traffic lane clear the whole time we are there.
Basement bike bays
Newer Nicholson Street blocks store bikes below ground. We need the level, the bay and someone able to open the boom gate or the roller door.
Strip shopping bays
Lygon Street bays are short stay and close to trams. We set up tight to the kerb and finish without holding up the tram lane behind us.
Creek edge parking
Bikes left near the Merri Creek trail can be hard to spot. A photo or the closest street name gets us straight to you instead of circling.
Worth knowing: Read the make, model and year from the registration papers before you ring. It sets which blanks and coding tools come out with us.

Brunswick East Motorcycle Locksmith FAQs
My key disappeared while I was eating on Lygon Street. What do I do?
Ring us and leave the bike parked. We attend the bay, take the cutting information from the bike’s own lock, make a key on site and program the transponder where the model needs it. Nothing gets towed and nothing gets removed from the street. If you are somewhere without a street number, the nearest restaurant name is usually enough for us to find you.
Do you come to an apartment basement or does the bike need to be outside?
We come down to it. Basement work is normal for us in Brunswick East and the bike does not need to be pushed up a ramp. What we need is a way in, so let us know the building, the level and whether you or a neighbour can open the boom gate. Once we are beside the bike the job runs exactly as it would at a kerb.
My Honda has H.I.S.S. and I have lost both keys. Is that still doable?
Usually. H.I.S.S. is Honda’s immobiliser and the chip sits inside an ordinary cut key, so we cut a blade to match your locks on site and then program the chip so the bike recognises it. Have the exact model and year ready when you ring. We will talk through what your bike needs and confirm a price on the phone before we travel.
How late in the evening can I get you on the phone?
Someone picks up between seven in the morning and ten at night, seven days a week. Past ten the phone is not attended, so a call first thing works better than waiting. When you do reach us we go through the bike, where it is sitting and what the job needs, then confirm a price on the phone before we travel out.
Can you sort a seat lock that has stopped opening?
Yes, seat locks are a regular job. They seize from grit and weather, and on a lot of bikes the same key runs the seat, the fuel cap and the ignition, so one worn lock affects everything. We open it, clean or rebuild the mechanism and match it back to your key where the design allows. All of it happens beside the bike.
