Where Brunswick Riders Call Us From
Four situations account for most of what we see between Moreland Road and Brunswick Road. None of them require the bike to move an inch.
The Sydney Road Strip
Sydney Road runs shopfront to shopfront for kilometres, and the bike parking along it is metered, angled and constantly turning over. Riders lose keys inside a shop, a bar or somewhere between the two. Wherever the bike sits, that is where we work: reading the lock, cutting a fresh blade and coding the chip at the kerb while traffic keeps moving past.
Converted Mill and Factory Car Parks
Old textile mills and brick factories off Weston Street and Albert Street are apartments and studios now, and their bikes sleep in former loading bays behind roller doors. We are used to working in those spaces. Let us know which building, which level and who can open the gate, and we bring the gear in on foot rather than asking you to wheel anything out.
Cafe and Kitchen Scooters
Half the scooters parked around Brunswick belong to people mid shift behind a coffee machine or a kitchen pass. A dead ignition at three in the afternoon is a lost run home and a blocked footpath. Tell us you are working when you ring and we will be straight about the soonest we can be there and what can be finished on the spot.
Station Car Parks and the Bike Path
Bikes get left near Jewell and along the Upfield line while riders take the train into town, then come back at night to find the key gone or the steering lock jammed. Those spots are lit but out of the way, and we would rather sort it than have you leave the bike overnight. Give us the nearest cross street and we come to the rack.

How Our Brunswick Callout Works
Three steps, and the bike never leaves the spot it is in.
1. Call and describe
Call 0410 380 354 and tell us the bike, the problem and where in Brunswick it is parked. We confirm a price before we travel.
2. We come to Brunswick
We travel to the bike wherever it sits in Brunswick — kerbside, car park, laneway or driveway. Nothing needs towing.
3. Ride away
We check ID and proof of ownership, cut or program the key or repair the lock, then test it before we leave.
Clearways, Laneways and Permit Parking
Brunswick parking is a puzzle of permit zones, clearways along Sydney Road at peak hour, and laneways that a van simply will not fit down. That never stops the work, because everything happens beside the bike wherever it stands, but it does shape how we approach. The more detail you give on the phone, the less time gets burned circling the block looking for you.
A street number helps most. If there is not one, name the corner, the shop you are outside or the sign on the old factory. Where the bike is behind a roller door, in a shared basement or up a dead end lane, say so at the start so we can organise who lets us in before setting off instead of standing at a locked gate.
Metered strip bays
Sydney Road bays turn over fast and sit close to moving traffic. We set up tight against the kerb, work from the footpath side and keep the lane clear.
Back laneways
The lanes behind Sydney Road run narrow and are often part blocked by bins. We park on the nearest street and carry the equipment in by hand.
Warehouse basements
Converted mills park bikes underground or behind roller shutters. Tell us the level and who holds the remote so we arrive able to get in straight away.
Path and rack parking
Bikes chained near the Upfield path are easy to miss from the road. A photo of the surroundings or a nearby cross street saves everyone time.
Worth knowing: Take the make, model and year straight off your registration papers. That decides which blanks and programming equipment travel with us.

Brunswick Motorcycle Locksmith FAQs
I lost my only key outside a bar on Sydney Road. Can you help there?
Yes, and the bike should stay exactly where you parked it. We come to that bay, take the code from the bike’s own lock, cut a blade to match and program the transponder if your model uses one. The whole job happens at the kerb, so there is no tow and no need for the bike to sit on the strip overnight.
My scooter is in a shared warehouse car park off Albert Street. Does that work?
It does. Plenty of Brunswick bikes live in ex industrial buildings with roller doors and shared yards, and we work in them regularly. You do not need to move the scooter out to the street. Just arrange for someone to open up or meet us at the gate, describe roughly where it is parked inside, and we do everything in place.
When can I actually reach someone on the phone?
The phone is answered from seven in the morning until ten at night, every day of the week. Outside those hours it simply rings out, so the thing to do is call again once we are back on. When you do get through we talk through the bike, the location and what the job involves, and we confirm a price on the phone before we travel.
Can you cut a key for a scooter with no key at all?
In most cases yes. Scooters and mopeds are a large share of what we do around Brunswick, and losing the last key is common. We read the ignition or a seat lock to work out the cutting, produce a blade on site and code the immobiliser chip where the model has one. Give us the make, model and year on the phone and we will tell you what is involved.
The ignition barrel on my bike turns but nothing happens. Is that repairable at the kerb?
Often it is. Worn barrels, a seized steering lock or a fuel cap that will not release are all things we strip and repair beside the bike, and we carry parts for the common patterns. If a barrel is past saving we can replace it and match the new one to your existing key where the design allows. We will tell you which way it is going before starting.
Stuck With a Bike on Sydney Road?
Kerbside outside the shops, down a laneway or behind a warehouse roller door, we come to where the bike is. Call 0410 380 354 and we will tell you the soonest we can reach Brunswick.
