Motorcycle Locksmith Blackburn
Ostan Locksmiths is a mobile motorcycle locksmith working Blackburn 3130. Bikes here spend their weeks in station car parks and their weekends on the roads out past the lake, and the locks that fail usually fail miles from any workshop. We drive to the bike instead, cutting lost keys straight from the lock, programming transponders and repairing ignition barrels wherever the machine happens to be standing.
- We come to Blackburn Station, the Village shops or your court
- Lost keys cut from the lock beside the bike, no tow
- Motorcycles, scooters and mopeds only, nothing on four wheels

The Blackburn Jobs We See Most
Blackburn work divides between the railway line and the leafy streets south of it. These four situations account for most of what we are called out to here.
Station Deck Lock-Outs
The multi-deck car park on the Railway Road side of Blackburn Station swallows a lot of bikes between the morning train and the evening one. Keys go missing in the city, not in Blackburn, and the rider comes home to a machine that will not start. Tell us the level and the bay when you call and we will meet you there.
Saturday Morning on South Parade
South Parade and Main Street fill early on a Saturday, and the bikes that ride in for breakfast park nose-in along the strip. A key that snaps in the barrel there turns a coffee run into a long wait. Leave the bike in its bay, ring us, and we work at the kerb with the traffic moving past, no pushing required.
Tourers Parked Up in Quiet Courts
Between Central Road and Canterbury Road the street map turns into courts and cul-de-sacs, and the bikes in them are often big tourers that only move when the weather is right. Barrels stiffen over a wet winter and spare keys disappear during a garage clean-out. We come to the driveway, free or replace the barrel and cut fresh keys on the spot.
Rides Out to the Lake and Creeklands
Blackburn Lake Sanctuary and the Creeklands paths at Kalang Park draw riders who park at a gate, walk in for an hour and come back to pockets that are lighter than they were. You do not need a street number for us. Name the entrance or the car park you are standing at and we will find you and cut a key there.

How Our Blackburn Callout Works
Three steps, and the bike never leaves the spot it is in.

2. We come to Blackburn

3. Ride away
We check ID and proof of ownership, cut or program the key or repair the lock, then test it before we leave.
Station Decks, Long Driveways and the Whitehorse Road Rush
Blackburn is straightforward ground to work, but the bike is rarely at the front kerb. It is usually up a long driveway, inside a garage at the back of a deep block, or three levels up in the station car park. Whitehorse Road and Canterbury Road also run as clearways at peak times, which changes where we can safely stop the van rather than whether the job can happen.
Give us a house number if you have one, or the level and nearest stairwell if you are in the station deck. Mention anything sitting between the street and the machine, a side gate, a shared drive, a roller door on a rear garage, so that access is sorted before we set off. Add the make, model and year from the registration papers and the right blanks travel with us.
Station multi-deck
The deck behind Railway Road runs several levels and the bays look identical. Give us the level number and the closest stair or lift and we will come straight up.
Deep blocks and courts
Most Blackburn houses sit well back with the garage behind. We work on the bike where it stands, so there is no need to roll it out to the street first.
Clearway hours
Whitehorse Road and Canterbury Road clear their kerb lanes at peak. If the bike is on either, tell us and we will plan a safe spot to work from.
Reserve gates and car parks
Entrances to the lake and the Creeklands are scattered along side streets. Name the gate, the path or the car park and that is enough for us to reach you.
Worth knowing: A quick look at the registration papers before you ring saves time later, because make, model and year decide which blanks and programming gear we load.
Not sure we can reach your bike?

Blackburn Motorcycle Locksmith FAQs
My bike has sat in the station car park all day and I have lost the key. What now?
Stay with the bike and call us. We come into the deck, read the lock on the machine itself and cut a fresh key there, then program the transponder if your model carries one. Nothing gets towed and you are not stuck waiting for the next day. If the car park has a boom gate or a time limit, mention it so we can plan around it.
The key turns but the ignition barrel feels gritty and slow. Is that fixable at home?
In most cases yes, and it is worth dealing with before the blade snaps. A barrel that has taken years of grit and rain will eventually seize, usually on the coldest morning of the year. We strip and service it in your driveway, or fit a replacement barrel and cut keys to match, without the bike leaving Blackburn or being loaded onto anything.
I ride a scooter and only ever had one key. Can you make a second one?
Yes, and it is a far easier morning than a lost-key callout later. We come to wherever the scooter is parked in Blackburn, cut a spare to the existing lock and program it if there is a chip involved. Seat locks and fuel caps sometimes run on a separate key, so tell us what you have and we confirm a price on the phone before we travel.
My bike uses a proximity fob rather than a key. Can you still help?
Usually. Systems like Kawasaki KIPASS, BMW Keyless Ride and Ducati Hands-Free work from a fob in your pocket, and each one also carries a separate mechanical emergency blade for the steering lock and seat. Those are two different problems with two different answers, so tell us which part has failed, along with the exact model and year, and we will be straight about what is possible.
There is an aftermarket alarm fitted as well as the ignition lock. Does that complicate a new key?
Not usually, though it is worth flagging on the phone. Aftermarket alarms and immobilisers are wired in alongside the factory lock rather than through it, so cutting and coding a key is unaffected. What can catch people out is a disarm fob with a flat battery, which looks exactly like a key fault. Tell us what is fitted and we will sort out which of the two you are facing.
Keys Gone Somewhere in Blackburn?
Whether the bike is on level three of the station deck, outside the Village shops or shut in a garage at the end of a court, we come to it. Call 0410 380 354.
