Motorcycle Locksmith Ashwood
Ostan Locksmiths brings the tools to the kerb in Ashwood 3147, so a bike with no key never has to move first. We work the streets between Warrigal Road and Huntingdale Road, the carports behind the post-war houses and the reserves along Scotchmans Creek. Lost keys, spares, transponder programming and ignition repairs all happen where the bike already sits.
- Kerbside work on Warrigal Road, Highbury Road and the side streets
- Carports, single garages and shared driveways all workable
- Scooters, mopeds and motorcycles only, no cars and no houses

Key cutting, transponder programming, replacement keys and ignition lock repairs are handled at the bike.

The Ashwood Callouts We See Most
Ashwood is a quiet grid with two busy edges, and our callouts split neatly along that line. These four account for most of them.
Stuck on the Warrigal Road Run
Warrigal Road and High Street Road carry a steady stream of riders through Ashwood morning and evening, and a bike that will not turn over on that stretch is a genuine problem in traffic. Push it into the nearest side street or a shop kerb, then call. We come to that spot, read the lock and cut a key beside the bike.
Carports and Single Garages
Most of Ashwood is post-war housing on generous blocks, which means bikes live under carports, down the side of the house or in a single garage packed tight around them. None of that stops us. We work in the space you have, and if the bike is wedged behind a mower and a trailer we would rather you left it there than tried to drag it out.
Reserve Car Parks by the Creek
The reserves along Scotchmans Creek fill with people who have ridden in for a walk, a run or a game, and pockets get emptied onto the grass. If the key went missing somewhere between the path and the bike, tell us which car park you are standing in and we will meet you there rather than asking you to find a street number.
Share House Scooters
Ashwood is close enough to the campuses that plenty of scooters here belong to students and young workers, often bought second hand with exactly one key and no history. When that key goes, there is nothing to copy from. We take the code from the lock itself, cut a fresh key on site and program the chip if the scooter needs one.

How Our Ashwood Callout Works
Three steps, and the bike never leaves the spot it is in.
1. Call and describe
Call 0410 380 354 and tell us the bike, the problem and where in Ashwood it is parked. We confirm a price before we travel.
2. We come to Ashwood
We travel to the bike wherever it sits in Ashwood — kerbside, car park, laneway or driveway. Nothing needs towing.
3. Ride away
We check ID and proof of ownership, cut or program the key or repair the lock, then test it before we leave.
Driveways, Side Gates and Two Busy Roads
Ashwood is straightforward to work in. The residential grid is wide, kerbside parking is easy outside school hours, and most jobs happen on a driveway or under a carport with room to move around the bike. The two exceptions are Warrigal Road and High Street Road, where the traffic is constant and we would rather set up a few metres into a side street than on the main line.
What helps most is a clear picture before we leave. Give us the street number, whether the bike is out front or behind a side gate, and who will be home to open it. Tell us the make, model and year as they appear on the registration papers, and say if the bike has an immobiliser chip, because that decides which programming gear travels with us.
Driveways and carports
Most Ashwood jobs run on a driveway or under a carport. There is usually room to remove a barrel and refit it properly without moving the bike.
Side gates and back yards
Plenty of bikes here sit behind a locked side gate. Let us know who can open it so we are not waiting at the fence when we arrive.
The main road edges
Warrigal Road and High Street Road stay busy. If the bike stopped there, walk it clear of the traffic lane before we arrive if you safely can.
Reserve car parks
For a callout by Scotchmans Creek, the car park name and the nearest entrance beat a street address every time, and we will find you from that.
Worth knowing: Check the registration papers for the model year before you call. Two bikes wearing the same badge can take different blanks and different chips.

Ashwood Motorcycle Locksmith FAQs
I have lost the only key to a scooter I bought second hand. Can you still cut one?
Yes. We do not need an existing key to start from. The bike carries its own lock code, and we read that on site, cut a blade to match and hand it to you working. If the scooter has an immobiliser chip, we program that as well. Give us the make, model and year on the phone and we confirm a price before we travel.
My bike is under a carport behind a locked side gate. Does it need to come out to the street?
No. We work wherever the bike is standing, and a carport is usually easier than a kerb because there is shelter and light. All we need is someone to open the gate when we arrive. If nobody will be home, say so on the phone and we will sort out access before we set off rather than after.
The ignition on my commuter bike has gone stiff and the key now sticks. Is that repairable?
Often, yes. A barrel that has worn from years of daily starts can usually be stripped, cleaned and reassembled, and a tired key replaced with a fresh cut that fits the wafers properly again. Where the barrel is past saving we can supply and fit a replacement and key it to work with the bike. We look first and tell you which it is.
What hours can I reach you on?
The phone is answered from 7am to 10pm, seven days a week. Outside those hours it simply is not picked up, so there is no point sitting on hold or waiting for a call back overnight. Ring first thing and we will tell you honestly when we can be in Ashwood, and confirm a price on the phone before we travel.
Do you work on cars or house locks while you are here?
No, and we would rather be clear about it. Ostan Locksmiths works on motorcycles, scooters and mopeds only. That is the whole trade: keys cut from the lock, spares, transponder programming, ignition barrels, steering locks, fuel caps and seat locks. If you need a car or a house sorted, you want a different locksmith, and we will say so rather than waste your time.
Bike Stranded in Ashwood?
Under a carport, at a reserve car park or stopped on Warrigal Road, we come to it with the key gear on board. Call 0410 380 354 between 7am and 10pm, seven days.
