Motorcycle Locksmith Glenroy
Glenroy 3046 is one of the busiest patches on our northern run, and Ostan Locksmiths works it as a mobile motorcycle locksmith. From the rebuilt station and Post Office Place through to the long residential streets either side of Pascoe Vale Road, we come to the bike, cut lost keys from the lock, program transponders and repair ignition and steering locks on site.

Four Glenroy Situations We Know Well
Glenroy is big enough to throw up almost anything, but four scenarios cover the bulk of what we are called out for here.
The Rebuilt Station Precinct
Since the level crossing came out and the line dropped into a trench, the whole area around Glenroy station has changed shape. New paths, new parking, new places to leave a bike for the day. Riders who commute from here often come back to a key gone missing somewhere between the office and the platform. We meet you at the bike and cut a new one there.
Shopping Runs Off Post Office Place
The retail centre around Post Office Place and the Pascoe Vale Road strip pulls people in from three suburbs, and the bike bays and kerbs fill up fast. Keys get set down on counters, dropped into shopping bags and lost for good. Because we make the new key from the bike's lock rather than from a copy, none of that matters once you call.
Walk-Up Flats and Shared Car Parks
Glenroy has a lot of 1960s and 1970s flats, and behind almost every one is a shared rear car park with bikes squeezed in beside the bins. Access is the only complication, never the work itself. Tell us the block number and whether there is a gate, a boom or just an open driveway, and we will sort out entry before we set off.
Trade Bikes Mid Shift
A good number of Glenroy riders use the bike for work rather than weekends, and a machine that will not start on a Tuesday morning costs a day. Snapped keys, worn barrels and immobiliser faults all get the same treatment: we come to where it stopped and deal with it there. Say on the phone that you are losing work and we will be honest about timing.

How Our Glenroy Callout Works
Three steps, and the bike never leaves the spot it is in.
1. Call and describe
Call 0410 380 354 and tell us the bike, the problem and where in Glenroy it is parked. We confirm a price before we travel.
2. We come to Glenroy
We travel to the bike wherever it sits in Glenroy — kerbside, car park, laneway or driveway. Nothing needs towing.
3. Ride away
We check ID and proof of ownership, cut or program the key or repair the lock, then test it before we leave.
Nine Square Kilometres and a Rail Trench
Glenroy is a large suburb by inner northern standards, stretching from the Western Ring Road down to Oak Park and from the Moonee Ponds Creek across to the Upfield line. That is a lot of ground, and the rail trench means the two halves connect at specific crossings rather than everywhere. Naming a cross street, not just a suburb, genuinely shortens the trip.
Once we are there, the job itself is straightforward almost anywhere. We have worked on Glenroy bikes in shopping centre bays, at the golf club fence line, on nature strips and inside rear car parks behind flats. All we need is enough room to stand at the ignition and set the gear down. If a gate or an intercom stands between us and the bike, mention it up front.
Station and centre car parks
Give us the level, section or nearest entrance rather than just the centre name, and we will come straight to the bay the bike is in.
Rear car parks behind flats
Most Glenroy blocks park bikes out the back. Tell us the flat number and whether the rear driveway gate is locked, propped open or missing entirely.
Driveways across the grid
Long streets like Hilton and Daley run for blocks at a stretch. A house number turns a slow crawl into a direct run to your gate.
Northern Golf Club edge
The streets ringing the course are quiet and easy to work in. Name the nearest corner and we will find the bike without circling the block.
Worth knowing: Have the registration certificate in hand when you ring. Make, model and year decide which blanks and programming tools we pack, and guessing wastes a trip for both of us.
Not sure we can reach your bike?
Describe the spot and we will tell you straight away. We work Glenroy every week and very little surprises us. Call 0410 380 354.

Glenroy Motorcycle Locksmith FAQs
I have lost every key to my bike in Glenroy. Can you still make one?
Yes, that is standard work. We do not copy an existing key, we read the code from the bike’s own lock and cut a new blade to match it. If the model has an immobiliser, we then program the transponder so the engine will start. It all happens where the bike is parked, in a driveway, a rear car park or a shopping centre bay.
How does the Honda H.I.S.S. system change what you can do?
It adds a step rather than a barrier. H.I.S.S. is Honda’s immobiliser, and the chip sits inside an ordinary cut key rather than in a separate fob. So we cut the blade to suit your lock, then program the chip to the bike so the immobiliser recognises it. Give us the exact model and year and we will confirm what is possible before we come out.
My bike is in a locked rear car park behind a block of flats. Does that stop you?
Not at all, but we need someone to let us in. A large share of Glenroy jobs happen in exactly that setting, behind a gate off the rear driveway. Arrange for a resident, a neighbour or the body corporate contact to open up, tell us roughly where the bike sits among the bays, and we work in place without shifting it.
Can you sort a steering lock that has jammed with the key still working?
Usually, yes, and it is a common Glenroy call after a bike sits out through winter. A jammed steering lock is normally wear, dirt or a dry mechanism rather than damage. Do not force the bars, because that is how a barrel gets destroyed. We look at it where it stands, free or repair the lock and cut fresh keys if the old one has worn.
Do I need to know the price before you leave?
You will, because we confirm a price on the phone before we travel. Tell us the make, model, year and what has gone wrong, and we work the figure out with you there and then. Nothing is quoted vaguely and nothing is adjusted on arrival. If we cannot help with your particular bike, we say that on the call rather than after driving out.
Bike Going Nowhere in Glenroy?
At the station, outside Post Office Place or in the rear car park behind the flats, we drive to you. Call 0410 380 354, seven days between 7am and 10pm.
