Yes. The car parks around the Convent and the Children’s Farm have no street numbers worth quoting, so name the entrance you used, the gate or the building you are beside and we will come straight to it. The work is the same wherever the bike is: we take the code from the lock, cut a key on site and program it where the model needs it.
My bike sits near Victoria Park Station all day while I work in the city. What if I lose the key at the other end?
That is a common one. The bike is still on this side of town and you are somewhere else, which is fine, because we work at the bike rather than at your office. Come back to it, ring us and stay with it. We cut and program a new key at the kerb near the station, and the bike rides home under its own power that evening.
The key I got with a used bike turns the lock but the engine dies straight away. Why?
That normally means the blade was copied but the transponder chip was never programmed to the bike. The lock is happy and the immobiliser is not, so the engine catches and then cuts out. We can program a chip to the bike beside it, or cut and program a proper key from scratch if the copy is a poor one. Tell us the make, model and year first.
Can you reach a bike in the car park under one of the Trenerry Crescent buildings?
Yes. The converted brick buildings along Trenerry Crescent and the newer blocks near the river all park underground or behind a shutter, and we work in car parks like those regularly. We need someone to open the shutter or meet us at the entrance, plus the level and bay number if there is more than one floor. The rest happens beside the bike.
Victoria Street is a nightmare to park on. Where will you set up?
Wherever we can get close without adding to the mess. Victoria Street runs hard from morning until late at night and the kerbside spots turn over constantly, so we often park in a side street off Turner or Lithgow Street and walk the last stretch with the gear. It makes no difference to the job, which happens beside your bike either way.
