What Comes Up Most in Niddrie
Niddrie runs at two speeds: the strip in the evenings and the quiet grid the rest of the time. These four scenarios cover most of what we see.
Keilor Road Dinner Trade
Keilor Road is Niddrie's heart, packed with delis, cafes and restaurants that pull people out most nights of the week. Scooters and bikes line up along the strip while owners are inside, and that is when a key slips out of a pocket or gets left on a table. Leave the bike parked where it is and call us, and we will have a new key cut and ready before the meal is over.
Side Streets Off the Strip
Streets like Nolan Street and Shaw Street run parallel to Keilor Road and are some of the most sought after in Niddrie, mostly houses with a bike tucked behind a fence or under a carport. A key going missing here is a driveway problem, not a shopfront one, and the job runs the same either way. Give us the street number and we come straight to where the bike is parked, gear and all.
Steele Creek Trail Stops
The Steele Creek Trail runs along Niddrie's western edge, and plenty of riders use it to walk a dog or grab some air before heading home. Keys dropped near the wetlands or along the gravel path are genuinely hard to spot again once they land in the grass. If that happens, tell us which entry point you used off Rosehill Road or Hoffmans Road and we will meet you close to the bike.
Tram Route Commuters
The old tram route up Keilor Road and Matthews Avenue still shapes how a lot of Niddrie residents get around, with a scooter often doing the last stretch between the tram stop and home. A dead key at the end of a long day is a rough way to finish it. Call us with the cross street and we will get you moving again without adding another leg to the trip.

How Our Niddrie Callout Works
Three steps, and the bike never leaves the spot it is in.
1. Call and describe
Call 0410 380 354 and tell us the bike, the problem and where in Niddrie it is parked. We confirm a price before we travel.
2. We come to Niddrie
We travel to the bike wherever it sits in Niddrie — kerbside, car park, laneway or driveway. Nothing needs towing.
3. Ride away
We check ID and proof of ownership, cut or program the key or repair the lock, then test it before we leave.
Strip Parking, Side Streets and the Creek Edge
Niddrie is a compact suburb built around one main strip, which means parking along Keilor Road gets tight in the evenings and the residential streets either side of it can look alike from a car window. That does not change what we do, since the whole job happens beside the bike wherever it has been left, but it does change how quickly we find you. A specific address or a shop name near the bike speeds up the visit considerably.
If the bike is behind a fence, down a side driveway or parked near the Steele Creek Trail rather than on a formed street, say so when you call. Streets close to the creek can be harder to pin on a map than ones nearer Keilor Road, so a nearby cross street, a landmark or the trail entrance you used all help us plan the quickest way in.
Keilor Road Kerbs
Evening parking along the strip is tight but workable. We set up close to the kerb, out of the way of diners and passing traffic.
Side Street Driveways
Nolan Street, Shaw Street and the surrounding grid are mostly driveways and carports. Tell us the street number and the closest cross street and we come straight there.
Steele Creek Trail
Near the trail or wetlands, tell us the closest entry point off Rosehill Road or Hoffmans Road so we can walk gear in if needed.
Tram Stop Corridor
Bikes parked near stops along Keilor Road and Matthews Avenue are easy for us to find quickly with a cross street and a short description of the bike.
Worth knowing: Have the compliance plate details ready, not just the badge on the tank. It tells us exactly which key system and programming gear to bring.

Niddrie Motorcycle Locksmith FAQs
I lost my key having dinner on Keilor Road. What do I do?
Leave the bike right where it is parked outside the restaurant and give us a call. We work from the lock itself, cut a new key at the kerb and program the transponder chip if the model has one, all while you finish your evening. There is no need to have the bike towed or moved before we get there.
My bike lives behind a locked carport in Niddrie. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Plenty of Niddrie homes keep the bike under a carport or behind a side gate rather than out on the street, and we work in that space just as easily as at the kerb. Let us know where the gate or carport is and roughly what time someone will be home, and we plan the visit around that.
Do you handle car keys or house lockouts too?
No, motorcycles, scooters and mopeds are all we do. We will not be able to help with a car or a house that is also locked, but we stay focused on the bike in front of us and get that sorted properly. It is a narrow trade on purpose, so the tools and stock we carry are built specifically for two-wheeled locks.
My BMW's Keyless Ride fob has stopped working. What happens then?
Keyless Ride is a proximity system, so the fob is not a plain cut key, but every bike fitted with it also carries a separate mechanical emergency blade for exactly this situation. We locate that blade, get the ignition running from it, and look at what the fob needs to work again, whether that is a battery, a replacement or reprogramming. Tell us the model and year when you call.
Do you cover Essendon North and Airport West the same way as Niddrie?
Yes. We treat the streets around Keilor Road, Hoffmans Road and the Calder Freeway as one connected patch, so it makes no difference whether the bike is on a Niddrie side street, over in Essendon North or closer to Airport West. We come to the bike, confirm a price on the phone before we travel, and handle keys, programming or ignition repairs on site.
Stuck With a Bike in Niddrie?
On the strip, down a side street or near the Steele Creek Trail, we come to wherever the bike is parked. Call 0410 380 354 and we will tell you the soonest we can get there.
