Callouts We Take in Hampton East
Hampton East mixes light industry with family streets, and the key problems follow that split. These four make up most of our local work.
Between Shifts on Dane Road
The Dane Road end of Hampton East is workshops, warehouses and yards, and plenty of bikes are parked there all day by people who ride to work. A key that goes missing at eleven in the morning means a bike stuck in a staff bay until knock-off. Ring us while you are still on site and we will cut and program a replacement in the car park.
The South Road Retail Strip
Nepean Highway and South Road carry the hardware barns, the supermarkets and the trade suppliers, and their car parks swallow keys at a steady rate. Riders come out with an armful of shopping and no key in the jacket. Park bays are wide here, which suits us: there is room to pull a barrel, read it and cut a fresh blade without holding up traffic.
The Spare You Meant to Cut Last Year
Second-hand bikes change hands around here with one key and a promise. That single key lives on a hook until the day it snaps in the ignition or disappears into a bin at Basterfield Park. Ordering a spare while the original still works saves a great deal of trouble later, and we can cut and program one at your address in a single visit.
Delivery Scooters Off the Road
Food and parcel riders work the Hampton East streets in numbers, and a scooter that will not start mid-shift is money draining away. Most of these machines run simple barrels, so a lost key is usually a same-visit fix at the kerb. Tell us you are working when you call, and we will be honest about the soonest we can reach you.

How Our Hampton East Callout Works
Three steps, and the bike never leaves the spot it is in.
1. Call and describe
Call 0410 380 354 and tell us the bike, the problem and where in Hampton East it is parked. We confirm a price before we travel.
2. We come to Hampton East
We travel to the bike wherever it sits in Hampton East — kerbside, car park, laneway or driveway. Nothing needs towing.
3. Ride away
We check ID and proof of ownership, cut or program the key or repair the lock, then test it before we leave.
Car Parks, Service Roads and Narrow Driveways
Hampton East is straightforward to drive but easy to describe badly. The Nepean Highway has service roads running beside it, the retail car parks have several entrances each, and a lot of the housing sits behind long shared driveways. Telling us which entrance you used, or which shop you are parked outside, saves more time than any shortcut we could take on the way over.
Everything we do happens at the bike, so it never has to move. If it is inside a workshop, behind a roller shutter or in a unit block’s rear car park, say so on the phone and we will work out who opens up before we set off. We also confirm a price on the phone before we travel, so there are no surprises when we arrive.
Retail car park bays
Wide bays outside the South Road and Nepean Highway stores give us room to remove and refit a barrel properly, with no traffic passing close by.
Workshop and yard bays
Plenty of bikes sit in staff parking behind Dane Road businesses. Let us know the gate or reception to report to and we will meet you there.
Nepean Highway service roads
The service lanes beside the highway are easy to miss. Give us the nearest cross street and which side of the highway you are on.
Shared rear driveways
Villa units and townhouses here often park bikes down a long shared drive. A unit number and the colour of the bike is usually enough for us.
Worth knowing: Have the registration papers handy so you can read the make, model and year straight off them. Guessing the year sends us out with the wrong blanks.

Hampton East Motorcycle Locksmith FAQs
My key disappeared in a South Road car park. What do I do?
Stay with the bike and call us. We take the code from the lock on the bike itself, cut a new blade on site and program the transponder if the model carries one. Nothing gets towed and nothing leaves the car park. Have the registration papers with you so we can confirm the make, model and year, and we will confirm a price on the phone before we travel.
Can you come to a workshop or business car park during the day?
Yes, that is a normal Hampton East job for us. Bikes parked at work behind Dane Road or off Keiller Street are often easier to deal with than street jobs, because there is space and shelter. Arrange for someone to let us through the gate or point us to the right bay, and we work on the bike exactly where it stands.
The key turns but the ignition feels gritty. Is that worth fixing now?
It is worth looking at early. A barrel that feels gritty is usually wearing, and the wear moves in one direction. Left alone it eventually refuses to turn, or takes the key with it. We can strip and service the barrel on site, and if it is past saving we fit a replacement and cut it so you are not carrying two keys around.
Do you work on scooters and mopeds as well as full-size bikes?
We do, and around Hampton East scooters are a large share of what we see. Delivery machines, learner scooters and mopeds all get the same treatment: keys cut from the lock, seat and fuel cap locks sorted, and immobilisers programmed where fitted. What we do not touch is cars, homes or businesses. Motorcycles, scooters and mopeds are the whole of our work.
How late in the evening can I ring about a bike stuck in Hampton East?
The phone is answered from 7am to 10pm, seven days. If a bike is stuck outside a unit on Katoomba Street at nine at night, ring then rather than waiting for morning. Outside those hours the phone simply is not answered, so call again once we are back on. We will tell you the soonest we can be there when you speak to us.
