I have lost the fob for my BMW with Keyless Ride. What are my options?
Keyless Ride is a proximity system, so the fob talks to the bike rather than turning a barrel, and there is a separate mechanical emergency blade for the seat and steering lock. That makes a lost fob a different job from a lost cut key, and what is possible depends on the model and year and what you still hold. Call with those details and we will talk you through the options honestly before anything is booked.
I am at work and the bike is behind a locked side gate at home. Can you do the job without me?
No, and you would not want us to. We check photo ID and proof of ownership with you in person before any key is cut, and we do not go through locked gates onto a property without the owner there. Arrange a time when you or another keyholder can meet us at the bike and everything else is straightforward.
