Can you come to a bike parked inside the Austin Hospital car park?
Yes, that is one of our more common Heidelberg jobs. Tell us which car park, which level and the bay number if there is one on the wall. The bike does not need to be moved or recovered to anywhere else.
I finish a shift at nine in the evening. Is that too late to ring?

In most cases, yes. A steering lock that will not disengage usually points to a worn or damaged barrel, a bent wafer or a lock that has been forced at some point. Do you make spare keys for scooters used to commute to the hospitals?
Regularly. A commuter scooter with a single key is one dropped set away from a very awkward morning, so a spare is a sensible piece of housekeeping. We come to your home or to the hospital car park, cut the spare from your existing key, program the chip if there is an immobiliser and check it works in the ignition and seat lock before leaving.
How do you price a job when you have not seen the bike?
By asking the right questions first. We want the make, model, year and a clear description of what has happened, whether that is a lost key, a snapped blade or a barrel that will not turn. From that we confirm a price on the phone before we travel. If the bike turns out to need something else once we look, we explain it before going further.
