Yes, and we do it often. Give us the business name, the street and which gate is open, and let us know if the site requires a sign-in or a hi-vis. We then work on the bike inside the yard exactly as we would at a kerb. There is nothing to transport anywhere, so the bike stays on site and you stay on the job.
I only have one key for my scooter. Should I get a spare made?
It is one of the more sensible pieces of housekeeping a rider can arrange. Cutting a duplicate from a key that already works is a simpler task than starting from a lock with nothing to copy, and a spare turns a lost key into an inconvenience instead of a stranded bike. We come to your address, cut it, program the chip if needed and test it before leaving.
The seat lock on my bike has jammed shut. Is that something you do?
It is. Seat locks cop weather, grit and the occasional heavy hand, and they seize or wear out well before the ignition does. We open the seat, then repair or replace the lock depending on what condition it is in. It is worth mentioning on the phone whether the key turns at all in that lock, because it changes what we bring with us.
Does the bike need to go to a workshop for transponder programming?
No. All the coding equipment lives in the van, so programming happens right beside the bike wherever it is parked, whether that is a yard, a carport or a verge. There are no premises in this business at all and nothing is ever taken away for work. The bike stays where you left it and rides out under its own power when we are finished.
